Rabbit's real name is Amelia Earhart. She was born in 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. Her father was an attorney and her mother was a socialite. Rabbit always wanted to be an explorer and adventurer like her hero, Amelia Earhart. When she was sixteen, she ran away from home to join the circus. She traveled with the circus for a few years before finally settling down in New York City. There, she started working as a journalist and became a very popular female author. Her books were bestsellers and she quickly became one of the most famous women in America. In 1930, she married fellow author George Putnam, with whom she had two children.
