Dead Animals

In my nightmare, I saw a landscape of death. The sky was pink and black, and the wind was coming from the north, bringing with it a smell that could have been decay or could have been the scent of flowers. There were dead animals everywhere, but I didn’t know if they had come from the sky or if they were things that had come out of the ground.
