The Erianthus Omorika is a very common, tiny plant and can be found anywhere near rivers and lakes. It blooms once a year, for 3 weeks. It has thin, squared leaves, which are usually dark red. It also grows quite small flowers, which can be brown, black, gold and light purple. These plants grow in small numbers, but it's hard to control and maintain their growth. They can be eaten to relief a sore throat. As a defense mechanism the Erianthus Omorika produces a thick, sticky wax. They rely on animal pollination to reproduce. Once pollinated, they grow fairly large, inedible nuts.
