The Crocosmia Hippomanica is a common, tiny plant and can be found anywhere near rivers. It blooms twice a year, for 2 weeks. It has large, heart shaped leaves, which are usually forest green. It also grows large flowers, which can be gold, black and dark brown. These plants grow in tiny groups, but it's easy, even without experience, to control and maintain their growth. They can be eaten to relief a sore throat. As a defense mechanism the Crocosmia Hippomanica mimics the overall look of a different, poisonous plant. They rely on animal pollination to reproduce. Once pollinated, they grow small, inedible fruits.
