The Cypredium Mariana is a very common, modest plant and can be found in caves and other dark places. It blooms once a year, for 4 months. It has huge, wedge shaped leaves, which are usually light orange. It also grows huge flowers, which can be light pink, dark grey, light red and gold. These plants grow in huge groups, but it's tough to control and maintain their growth. They can be eaten to relief a sore throat. As a defense mechanism the Cypredium Mariana grows stinging hairs, like a nettle. They rely on wind pollination to reproduce. Once pollinated, they grow small, delicious nuts.
