ONIA #73
In May 2022, I went out into the desert to take pictures of the latest lunar eclipse. I found the best spot, tracked the exact coordinates where the moon would crest over the horizon, timed it out perfectly to make sure I'd capture it, and waited. It was a dusty little hill off of a neighborhood in the desert, but I waited there for the sun to go down and the moon to rise. Unbeknownst to me, the lunar eclipse would be slightly obstructed by the earth's shadow for the first half hour or so. I was undoubtedly a bit frustrated, but waited it out. This piece is a re-creation of what I saw in my head as I waited.
