Some time ago I was paid for a work with a $ 1000 bill, among others. As it was the first time I had seen it, I began to look at it carefully, noticing the landscape of one of his faces. It is a field that transmits tranquility, colorful and bright. It made me think about how many different sensations are related to money: security, comfort, stability, being able to plan. And in that the lack of it represents the opposite "
I thought about the things that are bought with that money: Time? The job? The territory? And what is the limit of what we need to feel well-being. Is there a limit? Which? Money is present in everything that surrounds us, such as the landscape.
By superimposing fragments of bills images that are currently circulating in Argentina and photographs of the landscapes that are represented in them, I try to put both of them in a state of estrangement. I am interested in being able to think about the value of the landscape we inhabit, the ways in which it is modified according to the economic interests that change, disturb or transform it.
