An individual Highborn dragon might have any, or none, of the characteristics that can arise in the six more familiar dragon breeds—but, there is always a special energy to these Ancient dragons. No matter their size, colour, patterning, or personality, an Ancient always carries themselves with a sense of confidence, knowing that they were consciously brought into being by dragons of the six breeds. Highboorn have a dazzling array of patterns and skin colours, with a notable gesture being the capacity to grow beautiful gems and crystals on their skin. Like all dragons, their special characteristics develop as they mature, and a Highborn dragon who looks somewhat indifferent upon hatching can grow to be a magnificent, powerful and rare creature indeed!
