i think drill music hype it's now stuck and fading hard
been months since haven't seen a track gaining +100k views on YouTube from the major channels which initially were releasing Grime, and then moved on to drill only like press play, grime daily, etc.
in fact what I see often in there comments like "bored of drill releases", some of them rappers are still with the same old looks, gangsta, road, naughty boys with the hot girls in cam, but the music is now like the early 2000's timbaland, pharrell, kanye beats
in the us i have seen that music from artists like god hand or joey valence and brae are on the rise, which feels like early beastie boys era, which is cool and refreshing however is not that avant garde as pure phonk from GODHANDUSA sometimes is, what i also like a lot to be come back is the grime experimental vibes from mumdance and logos did with artists like Novelist or early Skepta works, Wiley and all them OG's which went all for drill after 2016 when drill started to pop out and pray to god they forget asap to came back into the dark vibes of the good great grime era
