These Follower numbers have been -really- bothering me lately. Of course I’m truly appreciative of every real person who has decided to follow me, but it’s super clear most are actually bots. My meaningful engagement doesn’t match the inflated numbers. I still don’t think it’s right to censor, bots have every right to exist, but I think the solution is to focus on different metrics.
The correlation between who Lensport tells me my top supporters are and who I have a gut feeling my top supporters are based on real interactions is nearly 1:1. I’ve found myself so disinterested with follower count but super engaged with newer metrics. Attached are just a few quick examples/suggestions I’d love to see implemented because not only are they are the meaningful metrics I’m judging my Lens experience by, but I think it would lead towards having more transparency and trust for all.

Would love to hear anyone else’s thoughts on moving in this direction!
