The Beacon

The Beacon is a web3 fantasy roguelike game that integrates action-heavy gameplay with MMO-like social features and NFTs. Developed by Skillcap Studio and powered by Treasure DAO on the Arbitrum network, The Beacon offers a fast-paced dungeon-crawling experience where players venture into progressively challenging dungeons, defeat enemies, and collect NFT loot.

Core Features

1. Roguelike Gameplay: Players navigate procedurally generated dungeons, battling enemies and avoiding permadeath. Upgrades and loot found during runs are lost at the end, adding a layer of risk and strategy​.
2. Social Elements: The game features co-op PvE, allowing players to team up with friends to take on challenges together. Additionally, players can participate in activities like dungeon expeditions, tavern quizzes, and house customization.
3. NFT Integration: Players can collect and trade various NFTs, including character cosmetics and house decor, which enhance the gaming experience. The game also supports the creation and customization of dungeons for players in the highest tiers​.
4. Economic Participation: The Beacon's in-game economy allows players to participate by collecting and trading NFT loot. Founding Characters receive special benefits like exclusive loot drops, PFPs, and the ability to earn Lux Shards, a form of in-game currency​.

The game is currently in development but has already released playable prototypes where players can explore dungeons, build homes, and interact with NPCs in the tavern.
