Further Explorations (Reality Glitch)
This piece was created after Reality Glitch was one of the Finalists for Artists Program Round 2. You can find more information given in the link at the bottom of this page.
Further explorations in stillness, motion, time and emotion.
You can use this piece as a meditation to take a break from reality for 45 seconds to a minute.
Find a comfortable seated position with a soft gaze, allowing your eyes to rest on a focal point on your screen.
Notice the colors within the piece as they come towards you with the gentle touch of the music. Observe the vibrant greens, the blue, purple, and yellow, and any other hues present in your environment. Allow these colors to fill your vision, bringing a sense of calm and serenity.
Now bring your attention to the music that’s directing the flow of both the video, and your thoughts.
Now, Shift your attention to textures within the piece. Notice the roughness of some of the textures, the smoothness of others, and how some of them feel like the softness of fabric, just by looking at them. Take a moment to appreciate the variety of textures present in your surroundings, allowing yourself to connect with the tactile sensations.
Take a deep breath in, drawing in the energy of the space around you. As you exhale, release any tension or stress you may be holding onto.
With each breath, feel yourself becoming more grounded and present in the moment.
Continue to observe the colors and textures in front of you, allowing them to guide you into a state of mindfulness and relaxation. Let go of any distractions and simply be with the experience, appreciating the beauty of the world around you. Whenever you're ready, gently transition back to your usual activities, carrying with you the sense of peace and mindfulness cultivated during this open-eyed meditation.
