This vessel represents one of the most beautiful pieces in the collection of the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico, the little obsidian monkey. This pre-Hispanic piece is made with golden obsidian, which means that although the black color is predominant, its brightness is different, since it has small gas bubbles from the moment the lava took time to cool down. The little monkey vessel has been prized by many, even becoming the coveted object of an art theft.
