Fromdarkness is a South African artist that brings his series of Tokoloshes to the blockchain. His first series and what he is known for, are the undoers of South Africa and are called the Tokoloshes. They are the most corrupt and dangerous people in South Africa. The Tokoloshes represent the dodgy politicians , common criminals, international syndicates that have their hands around the country's neck.
The Tokoloshes were born on tezos and are a representation of hope rather than distraught. To bring awareness to the current situation. Their design is inspired by a mythological evil spirit that used to roam the continent to bring fear in society.
When Fromdarkness first started his journey, he gravitated towards Paper Buddha’s work. The complexity of each piece and the style of collages was something he had never seen before. Being a big fan of the consistency in PB’s work and the layout of his compositions, he envisioned the two of them could create an amazing piece together using his elegant layout together with the juxtaposition of the Tokoloshes style.
