Poetics of Nature - Part I
Traveling has often been a way for me to become more intimate with myself and the world around me. I let my gaze lead my wanderings and capture an unspoken dialogue with my heart and camera. Time and time again, I feel nature mirrors the emotions radiating through me. Immersed in a scene, I witness a visual, vibrational poem —a tender co-creation between the land, the sky, the sea and I.
This collection was curated from an archive of my travels over the last decade. All shot on 35mm film. Each image invites the viewer to gaze, reflect, and let the nuances of the scene affect that quiet, ineffable place within us all.
Poetics of Nature features La Han Bay and Ham Rong Mountain in Vietnam, Monterosso al Mare, Italy, the earth of Haleakalā Mountain on Maui, a sunrise in Taos, New Mexico, the trees of Bosque de La Havana, a moonrise in Vinales Valley, Cuba, the ocean water of Vieques, the mountains of Vestland, Norway, Vondelpark, Amsterdam, and a waterfall in Krka Park, Croatia.
