Nifty Runes

This project began with the idea of creating a collection – something similar to Tarot cards, but more personally related to me. Then it came to me: Runes. While it is widely known that runes are part of Nordic history, after doing some research I discovered to my own surprise that they are also part of Estonian history! This was it. I dove into the Estonian literature about runes. I became so involved in painting that I sometimes knew what a rune should look like before even reading about it. The reading I did afterwards confirmed the accuracy of my visions. I believe we are not only the person we are born, but also our ancestors and our history. The place we are from holds the answers to all our questions, contains mysteries to be uncovered, and is perhaps even the source of helpers who dedicate their afterlives to supporting us.
