well, this is the first extras mint in 8 months! time flies. i think there is power in leaving collections you feel strongly about untouched and living. [_totty everydays | selects_](https://highlight.xyz/mint/base:0x5Ee58E17373C5ec0b9108e91f897DdD4e7194ee4/) is very important to me and i think it deserves the price is has stayed at this whole time.
that being said, because of the long wait between mints for extras, i realized i have been kind of sloppy with my organization for this lol. thankfully i think future mints should come a lot quicker when related selects are minted.
as for this piece, i do not remember much about it's creation but i do think that i purposely rotated and reduced the color palette to have the viewer focus on the movement and let the color palette produce a specific feeling. my issue with this original alternate is that there are simply too many colors. if my work is already quite noisy and abrasive then sometimes i feel it needs to be simplified to better convey its own message. lately this has manifested itself as posting more stills than animations, but reducing color is a tool i consider often and does a lot of the work for me.
btw, sorry for the change in currency for this mint... Zora updated their platform well after i minted this series and it appears impossible to list with ETH now. my bad :( by listing in WETH tho i believe you can still purchase with ETH, i will just receive it wrapped instead, and note that if you ever want to list this token for sale you will need to do so on a different platform (like OpenSea) as Zora no longer supports secondary markets on ERC-20 based mints.
