Captain Ethereum : Makers Place Genesis. The Cognitive Dichotomy collection is my series of paintings exploring popular modern day heroes which are deconstructed and reimagined through A.I Generative algorithms. The A.I takes the paintings and gives us two conflicting beliefs. Then, each image is carefully animated by hand to achieve a cognitive shift. This is realized by dissecting and recycling the portrait up against itself. The inconsistency between what is seen and what is believed has been designed to motivate people to engage and scrutinize the work. The accompanying sound is also created using algorithms generated from the animation. This creates a synchronized composition of sound and vision. Using pop deconstruction, fused with the latest technologies, I am engaging in a conceptual idea that can only exist here, in Web3.
