Mental health disorders are complex and can take many forms. What used to be a more normal prior to 55 years ago were anxieties that developed, mostly from our own neighbourhood to school & workplace environments. But with our media having expanded as a hi-tech World quickly, we've had social media added to the mix, plus with 320 tv channels in nearly every home, which was 2-3 channels back in 1960. Add the internet's tremendous use & cell phones, increasing use at home and the workplace and younger people addicted to these devices, too much of it can be overwhelming and cause mental fatigue.
We are bombarded by mostly bad news & it's not just in newspapers, it's repeated in all news media. It's difficult for kids put aside their computers to PlayStation to play games, many showing much violence.
Since, these have become a daily source of information, it's been noted that anxiety, depression and illnesses have increased. This broad definition incorporates many forms, including depression, anxiety, bipolar, eating disorders to schizophrenia. Many more anti-anxiety, anti-depression, & other drugs related to mental issues have been prescribed, since the pandemic had humankind have to change their lifestyle/work schedules for an indefinite time period. Isolating to mask wearing for the sake of health, dealing with not getting the Covid Virus. To add to that, Russia become belligerent dictatorship trying to crush Ukraine. Putin is unpredictable calling all moves, that continues on. This worries European countries & soon it was the World issue. It worries people
