This creature represents Joy. The feeling of delight and fulfillment.
The creature holds his heart dearly close to its body. Why? Because if you look closely, it is filled with 3 other hearts–the hearts of two others as well as his, which bring him utter joy and make his heart swell. The creature, filled to the brim with the feeling of pure joy, wide-eyed and innocently, looks out directly at you (the viewer) with an unforgettable smile that would melt the heart of anyone who could catch his gaze.
PS This one has a special backstory as it is inspired in part by my youngest son, my baby boy, whose smile will bring anyone joy. The 3 other hearts in the image represent my wife, myself and my youngest child. The joy that we experience is unforgettable and indescribable and makes my heart swell with the ultimate joy that can be experienced.
