The role of a Renaissance Woman was primary in the domestic sphere, to see over family issues and to support their husband. However, the position expanded by such notable women who, by virtue of Renaissance education and new societal expectations, became art patrons, writers, orators & basically, women of intellect. Wives especially with many children assumed a background role in the sustenance of political stability for a spouse, thus less time than the High Class woman to expand their talents & studying.
