This is what life looks like with an average income of $1/day. The life in which every day you have to decide whether you're going to charge your phone, get a shower somewhere, OR eat. Yes, you can choose only one. This is life without running water, gas, internet, virtually no electricity, no security, no healthcare. Living in developed countries, we are used to taking all the commodities around us for granted. But they are not. Welcome to Kibera, the largest urban slum in Africa! Generally speaking, Kenya is one of the most developed nations on the continent, but the level of inequality is sky high too. Is this fair? You decide.
