Sadly, South East of Turkey 's been hit by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake and people are having hard times. While some global initiatives are heading to the region, i know that people affected by the disaster may need more support in every little expense of daily life. As an artist i couldn't sleep last night and created this animation 'Heartquake' to call web3 folks to support disaster relief initiatives.
I created the piece with an approach we can call as 'tool hack art' by using marching ants animation of selection tools on procreate as a drawing material instead of an assistant tool for painting, created compositions and screen recorded them to process on video editing softwares.
Captivating affect of marching ants animation conquered me once i discovered that i can create art with it. I studied and experimented the tool for a year and created&burned a lot of drafts. In the process, I realized that i can create deeper layers in this technique by playing with scale, pen stroke angle, line spacing, motion of intersected marching ants lines and more.
