Positano, Italy is one of the most iconic and picturesque places in the world, filled with amazing architecture, authentic food, and a lot of visitors. We visited Positano in the first week of October, just outside of tourist season but while it was still warm enough to swim in the ocean. Jet lag had been working in our favor because it had us up at 4 AM everyday even before blue hour. I had almost decided to just try and fall back asleep when suddenly there was a bright purple flash that illuminated our whole balcony. Before me was one of the most amazing events I’ve ever witnessed as another flash came striking down into the ocean, lighting up the beautiful hillside city of Positano. I grabbed my camera and tripod and shot for about 4 hours. Out of 4,000 shots, this was the one. Positano has been photographed many times but you will never find another photo that contains two of the most epic of views together in one moment like this. It was the best way to end our honeymoon.
