This heartbreaking art was created by an unknown artist in the city of Kuldiga, Latvia. Despite the bright colors, this art is about war and death. This art is dedicated to the victims of Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War. You can see a drop flowing out of the pipe - this is the gas with which the Nazis massacred Jews, forcing them into the gas chambers. The skulls can be interpreted in two ways:
1) These are the victims' skulls distorted by pain.
2) These are the terrifying and ruthless faces of the Nazis.
This photo was taken in 2017, and every year the weather erases this art. Very soon, it will completely disappear forever. This photo is our opportunity to remember history and know about the horrors of war, about the victims and innocent people who died for us so we can live today.
