When people visit Venice, a lot of times they don't realize there are several other canal-cities around the area that have different vibes and areas of specialty. This is in Burano, an area famous for blowing glass and that sort of thing. It's just a 30-minute water-taxi away, and totally worth it. Not just because it is cheap, but it's so beautiful being out on the smooth open sea as you hop from village to village.
The other great thing about each of these villages is the food is always amazing. I would jump from cafe to restaurant to bakery to "carb-up" for thousands of photos a day. Please note that most of my photos don't work out that well, so I tend just to publish the best of the best.
