WHEREBCYCARD is a Spells of Genesis Card that was Created on October 23, 2015, with 700 issued. This Spells of Genesis Card uses the sad, but the infamous scene outside of the MtGox office in Japan after Finally closing their doors to all of us, officially. This is the artist Alejandro Hurtado's depiction of that event. The following is a very brief write-up of the real events that coinside this cards depiction of that nightmare that nearly flatted Crypto Currency:
In February 2014, MtGox filed for bankruptcy protection from creditors after halting its operations for weeks due to “technical problems”.
The lack of communication from MtGox led people to believe it was an inside job, that they had stolen their users’ bitcoins and were trying to mask it as a hacking attack.
There was a sitting protest in front of the MtGox headquarters in Tokyo. Bitcoin investor Kolin Burges confronted Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès demanding explanations for what was happening.
