One of my personal favorite images of Pepper; this was captured in our backyard forest on one of the most magical morning walks of our lives. The fog hovered low and dense throughout the forest, and when the rising sun finally breached the nearby mountaintops, the light flooded the woodlands with magnificent rays. It felt as though we were walking through a fairytale film set - which actually worked out well, as we were accompanied that morning by a videographer who was filming Pepper as the star in one of the renowned singer/songwriter Passenger’s music videos! Needless to say, the timing and location was perfect for a morning well spent filming Pepper in his happy place.
At one point in Pepper’s usual adventurous fashion, he clambered up a mossy tree stump to get a better vantage point among our surroundings. I quickly walked around to the other side of him to snap this image, the rays creating one of the most epic backdrops for a Pepper portrait I’ve ever seen.
