Tancred Marduk, a veteran activist of the Universal Primate Captivity Crisis movement at NGC State Military School of Scorpius, has been on several primate retrieval operations in the 13 years since earning their Astrobiology Doctorate. A child of the Pioneer caste of Apskellion Space Apes, Tancred was stranded in a colonization disaster and adopted into the Doctor caste, but awaits the day that they can rejoin the Pioneers on their venture into unknown regions of space. Now, as their mission leads them to Earth, Tancred and the Doctors are dedicated to the liberation of the primates in captivity there.
