A prominent figure in the field of Astrobiology, Luminos Mott became an activist in primate liberation after completing their tenure at The School of Gamut Declination. Luminos was originally content to be stationed at the Startaxia Catalytic Sector performing duties to benefit the Doctors, but upon learning of the Critical Earth Expedition they decided to step away and pursue the path of activism. Now, as their mission takes them to Earth, Luminos and the Doctors seek to confront the Homo Insipiens for their failure to free their captive primates as they had promised to do so long ago.

Mensa Helm was present when first contact was initially made with the Homo Insipiens of Earth, and after having earned their Quantum Mechanics Doctorate from The Collective of North Floe they have joined the expedition to return and bring the venture full circle. Having lived life among the Pioneer caste, Mensa had helped to settle many new colonies in the galactic frontier, but decided to find a new purpose helping others with the Doctors. With the Critical Earth Expedition underway, Mensa will do what they can for the sake of captive Earth's primates.

Now, as their mission leads them to Earth, Echo and the Doctors will attempt to put their skills and education to work as best they can for the sake of the primates there.

Now, with the native primates still in captivity on Earth, Bendis and the Doctors venture to fulfill the promise of release that the Homo Insipiens have reneged.
