The picture was taken during a walk through the Bavarian town of Landsberg am Lech. I was fascinated by the strong contrast between the direct sunlight and the "dark hole" in the background. After taking about 20 shots, I managed to capture the moment when the worker's head was already lit by the sun, while the rest of his body was still in the dark.
Das Bild entstand während eines Spaziergangs durch die bayerische Kleinstadt Landsberg am Lech. Ich war fasziniert von dem starken Kontrast zwischen direktem Sonnenlicht und dem "dunklen Loch" im Hintergrund. Nachdem ich etwa 20 Aufnahmen gemacht hatte, gelang es mir, den Moment festzuhalten, als der Kopf des Arbeiters bereits von der Sonne beleuchtet wurde, während der Rest seines Körpers noch im Dunkeln lag.
