Born of the Hades Sporedrop, this powerful fungi is also known as Death’s Henchman. From its cap, hanging bristles form a baleen-like filtration mechanism that collects atmospheric energy. Often found growing in the aftermath of battlefields and war-torn landscapes, those of the early Mushrohm Tribes believed that this fungi harvested the life-force energy of lost souls. Consumption effects are dose-dependent. A full dose of anything over 1mg is extremely poisonous and results in instantaneous rigor mortis, with witnesses to its effects reporting a spectacle in which the victim appears to have their last breath squeezed out in a gruesome contraction of the lungs and diaphragm. Smaller doses, when properly prepared, have a pseudo-psychedelic effect, with reports equating the trip to an NDE, a near-death experience.
